About The Colonels
Longtime friends, met in the 80’s at University of Kentucky where they graduated with journalism degrees. The two rose to prominence within the bourbon scene when in 1983, after years of research, the pair created what is known to be the perfect bourbon and diet Coke (recipe secret). A plaque was placed at the campus dormatory site, when Hagin Hall was leveled in 2019. The Colonel’s advancements in whiskey hipflask concealment at Rupp Arenea are still used to this day.
